At Eye Surgeons of Worcester we provide patients “no downtime” procedures for facial rejuvenation for men and women using non-surgical treatments & injections to minimize or eliminate the effects of aging, as well as blepharoplasty “eyelifts” or cosmetic eyelid surgery for baggy, puffy eyelids, brow and forehead surgery to lift troublesome areas and eyelid surgery to correct ptosis or droopy eyelids or eyelids that unnaturally turn inward with entropion or outward with ectropion.
Our approach for women is to restore their natural, refreshed, youthful appearance by gently tightening, volumizing and lifting the delicate eye tissue, facial features and chin. For men we strives to maintain an energetic, masculine but softened ruggedness. Using a non-surgical “liquid facelift” approach with BOTOX® Cosmetic in combination with gel fillers that add volume and tighten delicate tissue, such as Restylane®, allows us to address many facial areas that suffer the effects of age.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an approved non-surgical treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brow and crow’s feet lines in adults. BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows within 48 to 72 hours for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting up to 4 months.
The “liquid facelift” is an approach that blends the use of different non-surgical injectable facial rejuvenation treatments placed in the troublesome facial areas and layers, to achieve a fresh, energetic more youthful appearance. A “liquid facelift” might include using BOTOX® Cosmetic to smooth dynamic wrinkles in the forehead area or to “lift” eyebrows slightly or even smooth crow’s feet. BOTOX® Cosmetic works best for areas of concern that are caused by underlying muscle contraction. A “liquid facelift” might also blend in the placement of gel fillers such as Restylane® to smooth fixed wrinkles and folds and “volumize” to add a firmer tighter look in the forehead, around the eyes or even in your cheeks or lips.
Besides the quick and pleasing results, most men and women find the “liquid facelift” desirable because it is actually a “lunchtime” treatment so you can have it done on your lunch break with no downtime! We perform these treatments in the comfort, privacy and convenience of our office and you can be back to work and leisure activities almost immediately.
An upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery or “eye lift” helps us to improve two characteristics of aging upper eyelids. First, we are able to correct and eliminate the excess droopy saggy skin of the upper eyelid, a condition referred to as "hooding of the upper lid." Then, we are also able to correct the puffiness in the inner corner and middle of the upper eyelid that results from the pushing forward or herniation of the fat located in these areas above the eye. It is most common to perform upper eyelid blepharoplasty at the same time as lower eyelid blepharoplasty in order to achieve an alert, awake, rejuvenated and energetic youthful appearance. By improving or eliminating droopy, puffy or saggy upper eyelid we can help you avoid the appearance of lacking energy, looking tired and older. If your eyes are more open and relatively free of creases and folds, you will project a more rested and youthful appearance so you can look your best. You might benefit from an upper eyelid blepharoplasty if your upper eyelids appear “hooded,” you have difficulty putting on makeup, even after a good night’s sleep you still look tired, you are starting to have bulges in the corners of your upper eyelid or if your eyes just feel heavy.
We perform upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia and light sedation. The actual surgery typically takes no more than 30 minutes. We take precise care to locate and hide the incision in your eyelid creases so it looks quite natural and invisible. Our goal is to provide you with results that are so natural that friends, family members and coworkers will simply say, “You Look Great!” without even knowing that you have had eyelid surgery.
A lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery helps us improve the appearance of the lower eyelids when they have excess skin, appear “crepe” like and especially if they appear puffy, saggy or dark and make you appear tired or old. Often there is a protrusion or herniation of fat that we will remove along with the excess skin and creping. You might benefit from a lower eyelid blepharoplasty if your lower eyelids are too puffy, baggy or too full in appearance or you have excess skin and “crepe” like wrinkles beneath your eyes.
We perform lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery as an outpatient procedure using local anesthesia and light sedation. The actual surgery typically takes no more than 30 minutes. We take precise care to locate and place the incision just beneath your eyelash line or if necessary we can enter the fat pockets through an incision made in the inner lining of the lower eyelid. If there is excess skin that we need to remove we will do this through an external approach without scarring. The lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery procedure is long lasting and usually never has to be repeated. As with upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery our goal is to provide you with results that are so natural that friends, family members and coworkers will simply say, “You Look Great!” without even knowing that you have had eyelid surgery.
